In firmware 6.6, Auto Alert emails are generated via GRIDSMART API. In versions before 6.6 Auto Alert emails are generated via GRIDSMART API using Postmark. Postmark is a 3rd-party service provider that we route email through via the internet. The GRIDSMART software sends an HTTP POST request to Postmark which then uses the information we send to generate an email and send it on our behalf.
