Beginning in software version 19.12 the default usernames and passwords are not included with new or repaired machines.  This means that you will have to set the admin password on the processor before any setup can begin.  Again this only affects new or repaired Processors shipped after August 1st 2020.

Important changes to note

  • Beginning in 19.12 the connection type has changed to HTTPS
  • You will have to authenticate when connecting via the Client
  • Data Modules will not be pre-installed from the factory
  • Default usernames and passwords are no longer used.

The Processor will behave differently than previous versions.

How to log into the client using HTTPS

Starting in 19.12 you will be prompted to authenticate when connecting to a system using HTTPS.  The username and password will be whatever is setup in the device manager as valid users for the system.

1. Power up the Processor (if it isn't already operational).

2. Connect via network or laptop port.

3. Open the GRIDSMART Client.

When the client detects a system using HTTPS it will prompt for credentials.

4. Enter credentials for the user that would like to log in. This user must be set up in the device manager prior to authenticating.

Your selection here will be saved for your account profile.
