Dual cameras are not specifically required but are recommended to achieve the best and safest performance by ensuring good views of all bicyclists in the intersection with higher resolution. Dual cameras will furthermore be optimal for expected future VRU capabilities. Recall that dual cameras have always been specified for pedestrian features so that all crosswalks can be observed without occlusion from moving traffic.
