The SCATS option is available in the Control settings for TS1 sites. When SCATS mode is On, the GRIDSMART Processor outputs will behave more like analog inductive loops, where the output pulse durations will be computed from the length of the zone and speed of the tracked vehicle. This is in contrast to normal operation, where the zone outputs are either on or off for the duration of a full image frame period, usually about 150 milliseconds. In SCATS mode, there will be additional latency of about 1 second in the outputs, which is time that is required to compute, shape, and order the output pulses.
